Description

Mansonia, with a 15-20m log and a diameter of 0.5-0.8m, is yellow to dark gray-brown, usually with grayish to black streaks. The sapwood is 25-40 mm thick and white in color. The color of Mansonia is reminiscent of walnuts. However, the effect of light makes the color lighter and slightly duller.

Mansonia is often used as a substitute for walnut in fine joinery, furniture making and for decorative purposes such as interior paneling and is used as a sliced veneer in the furniture industry.
