The chipboard or particle board is an engineered board made of wood-chips bounded together with a synthetic resin. It is a basic material with a good price-quality ratio. 

Chipboards are mainly used for interior furniture with low mechanical stresses. The sides must be finished with veneer edgings or solid wood edgings.
