MDF

Medium-Density Fibreboard or MDF is a pressed core board with a medium-hard density. The trees are pulped, the wood fibers are dried and connected by means of resins.

MDF is ideal for interior work, for cabinets, doors and worktops. This panel has two major advantages: it stays nice and flat and the end result is very nice even with raw sides. MDF is very easy to work with and easy to mill into all kinds of shapes. Due to the fine fiber structure, it does not splinter. However, it has no homogeneity. The surface has a higher density than the core of the boards. The most difficult shapes can be realized with a MDF. It hardly works and has a high flexural strength.

Better adhesive resistance, very high wear resistance, high breaking point and exceptional dimensional stability make the product superior to most  prefabricated wood products. However, MDF contains a lot of glue, which means that chisels wear out faster when processed.

MDF boards are available in various sizes and thicknesses. The timetable here below provides an overview of what we have in stock. Other sizes can be obtained from our suppliers on order. However, the delivery period will be longer.
