Plywood

Plywood are boards made up of an odd number of wood veneer layers that are glued together crosswise.

Plywood boards are also named after their inner layers, for example birchplywood, poplar plywood or even beech plywood.

The advantages of plywood are many: Due to the crossed layers, the board is even stronger in some directions than solid wood of the same dimensions and weight. Plywood performs less than solid wood, is much stronger and lighter than MDF and has almost no creep. For this reason it is preferable for stressed works.

We mainly have 2 types of plywood in stock: the poplar and birch plywood. Please find below an overview of the coreboards we have in stock.

Please bear in mind that Finaspan will not be held responsible for the flatness of these boards.
